Toshiba Booth at NRF Retail Big Show 2017 Wins Platinum Hermes Creative Award

Interactive Exhibit Brings Toshiba’s Path to Brilliant Commerce to Life

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, Inc. (TGCS) announced today that its booth at the 2017 National Retail Federation’s (NRF) Big Show has received a Platinum Hermes Creative Award for Engagement Experience during the New York exhibition in January. Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for the concept, writing and design of materials and programs, and emerging technologies. 

Toshiba’s theme for this year’s NRF event focused on The Path to Brilliant Commerce. The booth’s interactive design allowed visitors to experience a journey through a variety of technology-enhanced shopping scenarios that illustrate Toshiba's Brilliant Commerce concept -
Enriched Shopping, Actionable Insights and Frictionless Checkout.

The booth was designed in conjunction with award-winning custom exhibit house, Exhibitus.

“Our exhibit at this year's Big Show was designed to allow visitors an opportunity to explore a variety of engaging shopping experiences powered by Toshiba retail technologies,” said Bill Melo, Chief Marketing Executive, Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. “Exhibitus helped us to tell the Brilliant Commerce story in a very entertaining way.”

To demonstrate the value of Toshiba’s solutions, Exhibitus graphically showcased three different shopping journeys on individual 10’x20’ “raw wood” walls using conductive ink technology. The conductive ink that was screen-printed on the wood was also wired to a special board, creating a live circuitry that triggered both sound and visual reaction to touch.
